COMMS UNDERGROUND MARKING TAPE DETECTABLE is a detectable underground mains marking tape designed for communication cables. It provides a clear warning and ensures easy detection of buried communication cables to prevent damage during excavation work.

• Message: "DANGER COMMUNICATION MAIN BELOW" + AS/NZS LOGO, repeated at regular intervals
• Print Adhesion: No less than 90%

Physical Properties

• Material: Polyethylene tape thermoplastic
• Tracer Wire: 0.7mm diameter stainless steel grade ASTM A276/316, welded centrally to one face of the tape in a wave pattern with 50% exposure to the soil
• Dimensions: 150mm width x 100 micron thickness x 500m length Roll
• Roll Core Diameter: 76mm

Mechanical Properties

• Tear Resistance: 7.0N at elongation of 700%
• Impact Resistance: Will withstand penetration by a dart mass of 160g (15-0)
• Toughness and Elongation: Allows mechanical diggers to pull the tape to the surface before breakage

Environmental Resistance

• Alkaline and Acidic Soil Conditions: Includes stabilisers to resist deteriorating effects
• Fungus Resistance: Resistant to fungal growth
