Product Overview

The MAX9 Clipsal MX9R product is a residual current breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO). It is a 3P+N circuit breaker with three protected poles and a C tripping curve.

Compliance with Standards

The AS/NZS 3000:2018 standard introduces a major change for residential applications. It requires additional protection by RCDs with a maximum rated residual current of 30mA for all final sub-circuits, regardless of circuit amperage or phase count. This includes circuits for air conditioners, cooktops, hot water systems, pool pumps, and others that historically were not protected by RCDs. The MAX9 3P+N RCBO provides a complete RCBO solution for 3-phase applications.
